I have chosen RollerCoaster Creator as the game to do for GameBoy DS platform.
RollerCoaster is a game whereby you have to create RollerCoaster tracks which allow the roller coaster to travel from the beginning of the track to the end of it and you have to collect There are 6 tools to help you to draw the tracks. There are 5 fixed pattern shape tool with 1 "free-hand" tool which means you can draw the tracks freely using your mouse. In the next paragraph, I will talk about how I would adapt the game for the Nintendo DS platform.
For the menu page of RollerCoaster Creator, I would like the bottom screen to be the screen of levels that the players have attained and have not attained. This will help the players to keep track of their progress. The design of the levels page will be something like Super Mario Game whereby there are a lot of levels and small kings in a World. There will be different levels in different 3 big world. The first world would probably the easier mode and follow up. There will be some hints that lead the player to complete the mission. For example, the tools that should be used to reach the final destination. There will be no more hints in World2 and World3 so that player can think creatively how to create the tracks of the roller coaster.
GameBoy DS has 2 screens. The top one we can control the game using stylus while the bottom screen is for buttons-controlling only. In my view, I would put the 6 tools of the game below the screen for the player to choose using buttons and I would prefer the gameplay on top screen because player will draw the tracks easier.
This would be the end of my views on adapting RollerCoaster Creator into GameBoy DS.
